Description

This is not your typical yoga class. Our semi-private yoga and meditation classes are a combination of extremely popular styles designed to promote wellness of the mind, body and spirit. By working in small groups, our instructors are able to provide you with increased personal attention. They will guide you through a series of poses and group meditation to relax the body, calm the mind and sharpen focus.

As the growing number of studies continue to discover the health benefit of yoga, more practitioners are adding it to their client's treatment plans to fight a wide range of mental and physical disorders. These include anxiety, deprression, high-blood pressure, heart disease, insomnia and diabetes. No experience is required to reap the benefits of this class. It's perfect for all ages and genders too. By reducing perceived stress and anxiety, yoga appears to modulate stress response systems. This, in turn, decreases physiological arousal — for example, reducing the heart rate, lowering blood pressure, and easing respiration. There is also evidence that yoga practices help increase heart rate variability, an indicator of the body's ability to respond to stress more flexibly. -Harvard Medical School
